đ shared notes | march monthly musings (no. 10)
A cozy, full-of-everything catch-up from both of us â saved for the first Saturday of each new month.

Itâs a big month for us since Bâs baby boy was born on March 4th! đ¶đ» Callum is a big, beautiful healthy boy & we are just so grateful to have another baby in the fam! As B adjusts to life as a family of four, weâre focusing â more than ever â on staying present, consuming content strategically to better ourselves rather than doom scrolling, enjoying analog activities (obsessed with puzzles right now!) mixed with our fave shows since itâs a big month for TV, and spending more time outside thanks to Daylight Savings giving us an extra hour of sun in the evenings starting tomorrow!
Even though weâre already almost one-quarter of the way through 2026, it feels like the new year just started. We didnât make our vision boards until the end of January, Kel finally started her sourdough journey on the last weekend of February (despite it being her New Yearâs resolution / Christmas present), and overall life seems to have just slowed down a bit to allow us to care less about overall output and more about how weâre showing up for ourselves â and our family & friends.
That being said, donât be afraid to give yourself grace if you feel like youâre just getting started too â we love the idea of a spring reset in more ways than one âš Weâre so excited to spend this Saturday morning with you. Now, grab a coffee or tea (weâve been loving homemade cappuccinos & dirty chais when out and about!), share a fun snack with your toddler if youâre also in this season of life & letâs catch up! đ€

Since we never want to gatekeep great finds, if you live near a Goodies (our go-to for cute, easy gifts since nothing in the store is over $25), they now have pre-orders for $25 wooden stools, which are available for pickup this spring. We each got two, but honestly had to stop ourselves from getting more â the deal is just too good!
With sunny days coming, weâre in the market for a great sun hat â eyeing this one, but itâs $$$, so we may have to try this slightly less-expensive version or this under-$100 option!
Weâve been looking for a pregnancy-safe, healthier toothpaste option & recently made the switch from Tomâs to Bokaâs whitening toothpaste â the same brand we buy for the kids since they have a toddler version!
what weâre watching
We werenât kidding when we said March is a big month for TV! Weâve been loving how shows have been coming out each week instead of all at once, so it gives us something to look forward to on a random Tuesday. Here are our go-tos this month:
Monday: We loved season one of Paradise, and while we donât think they can beat it in season two, weâre definitely enjoying the second season. There are four eps out now to catch up on, and new episodes come out on Mondays!
Tuesday: Top Chefâs 23rd season â based in the Carolinas â premiers on Bravo Monday, March 9th, but weâll be watching on Tuesdays via Peacock! And for those who couldnât wait (like us), the first ep is already available on Peacock as a special little preview!
Wednesday: We donât have a show for this day, so weâre going to start implementing our âme nightsâ again on Wednesdays â a little time to spend solo once the kids go to sleep â whether working on hobbies, watching our guy/girl shows, reading, etc.
Thursday: Kel watched old seasons of Scrubs back when she was waiting for baby girl to arrive, and three years later, theyâre back with a new version thatâs actually very enjoyable! While new episodes are live on Wednesdays, we watch on Hulu the next day. Old faves + new characters = a fun watch for Scrubs fans.
Friday: Weâve been hooked on Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bassette! It comes out on Thursdays, but we watch on Hulu on Friday nights. We know absolutely nothing about their story (except the tragic end), so itâs been an enjoyable watch â the casting is so good & it makes us so grateful we 1) arenât famous & 2) didnât marry into a famous family.
Saturday & Sunday: Saturday used to be a movie night for us, but since we keep our same 9pm-ish bedtime throughout the weekend, weâve gotten used to splitting movies into half-and-half situations on weekend nights. Currently trying to watch some of the best-picture noms before the Oscars on March 15th!
Weâre also looking forward to Prime Videoâs Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat premiering on March 20th (the first season is worth a watch if you havenât seen it already!) & Apple TVâs Imperfect Women (we read the book & loved it!) premiering March 18th and season two of Your Friends and Neighbors premiering April 3rd.
If you have any show or movie recommendations that youâve loved (new or old!), send them our way! Leave a comment or message us â we always love getting new recs.
what weâre reading
We finally started These Summer Storms by Sarah MacLean! While weâre only about 25% of the way through the book, itâs great so far and a quick read.
Since Kelâs sourdough journey has taken over her brain space this last week, sheâs been reading up on tips for beginning a sourdough starter & making a sourdough loaf⊠and fingers crossed next week will be better since in 24 hours, she scraped her car door on a concrete pole in a parking garage and broke the glass bottom of her sourdough starter jar into tiny shards before her first bake, so she has to start over đ
If you havenât already, now is the time to read Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir before the movie comes out on March 20th â weâre SO excited!!
We also love new book recs! Weâre part of a book club, so weâll share what weâre reading the first Saturday of each month in this Monthly Musings series & hope you do the same!
what weâre listening to
Weâve been in a very boring listening rut, so we donât have a ton of recs this month for listens via podcasts, songs/playlists, etc., so this is us, asking you, to give us all the recs of what youâve been listening to lately đ
what weâre eating/drinking
In last monthâs newsletter, we mentioned how excited we were for Jenn Luekeâs Donât Think About Dinner cookbook & we can confirm itâs a great buy! We did the âJennâs Top Hits Weekâ weekly dinner meal plan, which saved us money on groceries and gave us a fun & easy dinner to make each night of the week. Will def be adding some of her recipes to our rotation!
Weâre also looking for some delicious & nutritious postpartum meals for B that are easy to prepare, able to freeze/reheat, and bonus if they can be made kid-friendly⊠so send us your recs, favorite Substacks, etc.!
little joys
Watching Cam become a big brother & Avery become a big cousin â and love on their little brother/cousin with the gentlest, sweetest touches.
Soaking up the newborn snuggles & cherishing every moment with new baby boy since we know how quickly the time goes đ„č
Girl Scout cookie season! We were so happy when a little girl ignored our âno solicitingâ sign & we bought three packs of our favorite cookies.
The kids bringing us flowers they picked while at the park with their nanny â who we absolutely love (and hope she never leaves us) â a little mid-workday surprise đŒ
Seeing the joy spread across our kidsâ faces when they truly earn something â whether itâs a soccer medal, a special snack, or a mini-movie night.
Our toddlers are at a stage where theyâre fighting bedtime & itâs become a struggle even though we know theyâre so tired⊠so little joys include the times they fall asleep between 7-7:30pm like the good âol days đ€ Weâre still so very grateful that theyâre amazing sleepers overall, but the struggle is real sometimes!
Thanks for spending part of your Saturday with us â it means more than you know. Whether youâre sipping coffee, chasing toddlers, or just enjoying a slow scroll, weâre so happy to be a small part of your day.
See you in your inbox soon! đ€ We hope to be back with more design moodboard inspiration in a separate newsletter (along with other bonus content like tips for imagining your dream life, how we organize our shared drive âlifeâ folder, and more), so whether youâre into those topics or choose to skip, be on the lookout for more!
